PETRONAS Energy Trading Ltd – Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Fasluddeen joined PETRONAS Energy Trading Ltd (“PETL”) in 2017 as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.  He has overall responsibility for sustainably growing PETRONAS’ European gas marketing and trading business, optimising its diverse assets in gas storage, LNG regas terminal and power assets.

Before joining PETL, Fasluddeen was responsible for Business Strategy of PETRONAS LNG (UK) Ltd focusing on long-term growth of PETRONAS’ LNG portfolio in the Atlantic basin.

Fasluddeen has served as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of PETRONAS Group between 2012 and 2016, working closely with the Management teams across both Upstream and Downstream business Divisions on various operational and strategic initiatives. He had also carried the role of Strategic Planner for the Refining & Trading Business and had leadership roles in varying Human Resources functions at PETRONAS Holding Company.

Fasluddeen has an MBA from the Manchester Business School, UK and BBA from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He has lived in Malaysia, Australia and UK for studies and professional career.

Cristian Signoretto was born in Verona, Italy in 1974. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 from the Politecnico di Milano, he fulfilled his military service as an Officer in the Italian Army.

In 2000 he was awarded with a scholarship as a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano, where he was involved in research projects and teaching activities.

In 2001 he joined McKinsey. He obtained a Master in Business Administration from Columbia University, New York, in 2005.

After a short experience in Citigroup in New York, he continued his career in McKinsey, mostly dealing with projects in the Oil & Gas and Banking & Insurance sectors. In 2007 he joined Eni in the Office of the CEO supporting the Top Management for corporate strategy and group-level projects.

In November 2008 he was appointed Senior Vice President for International Sales with the responsibility to develop gas sales in the European B2B markets outside Italy within the Gas & Power business of Eni.

In May 2012 he became Executive Vice President for International Markets and LNG Activities with the responsibility for the overall commercial strategy and sales activities outside Italy, including affiliate companies and LNG marketing.

Starting from November 2016 he is Executive Vice President for Portfolio Strategy and Long Term Gas Negotiations in the newly established Midstream business of Eni. In his new role he oversees the gas supply portfolio management and the relationships with long term gas suppliers, including the management of the affiliate company in Hungary.

He is a member of the Board of Directors in Union Fenosa Gas (Spain), a JV between eni and Gas Natural Fenosa, and in BlueStream (The Netherlands), a JV between eni and Gazprom.

Alex Barnes has over 25 years’ oil and gas industry experience, focussing on market design and regulation since 2001. Between 2009 and 2016 he was Head of Regulatory Affairs for Gazprom Marketing & Trading Limited. He also advised Gazprom on regulation for projects such as Nord Stream 2, and as part of the EU Russia Gas Advisory Council. Prior to Gazprom he worked for BG Group and Total in number of different roles. Whilst at BG he led the team which secured a regulatory exemption for the Dragon LNG Terminal. He has been a member of various industry expert panels including the ACER Expert Panel on Tariffs as well as being a Prime Mover for ENTSOG. He represented the European Federation of Energy Traders at the Madrid Forum for a number of years. He has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University, and an MBA from Henley Management College.

Guy Broggi joined TOTAL in 1978 as an expert in geosciences for E&P activities after graduated from “Ecole des Mines” (Nancy, France).
His first ten years at TOTAL were dedicated to exploration data treatment and economics modelling for E&P investments.
He was recently appointed Senior Advisor to the LNG Director in Paris Headquarters after having been in charge of the LNG Supply for the group (2006-2011).
Before that, he had held several commercial positions related to the development of TOTAL LNG business in Jakarta and Tokyo (1988-1995), Commercial Director for TOTAL E&P subsidiaries in Argentina (1998-2001) and the UK (2002-2006) where he helped create TOTAL LNG desk in London. He is a non-executive board member of Total Gas and Power (UK).
